A gentle Christmas Lullaby with new words by William Hastings.
This version is for SATB choir but it is also available in a unison or 2 part version.

The gently flowing melodic line will be easily learnt by children or adults and the simple, yet effective, accompaniment provides interest and colour with a few delicate references to other ‘manger’ carols. The words of the first verse are below

The eastern star shone through Bethlehem’s night
Guiding the wise men with heavenly light
The angels in chorus sang a new song
The light of the world has been born
The hope of the world has come
To show us a world of love
His beauty adorned in his mother’s embrace
A miracle of His grace

(The Mp3 recording is just one verse and has been taken from the computer program that generates the printed music so consequently sounds rather ‘computerised’ but hopefully will give some indication of how it will sound when performed!)
